Terms of Service

Note for the site owner: This is a customary starter agreement. Replace every [bracketed] placeholder with your real details and have it reviewed by a qualified attorney before launch. It is not legal advice.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of nopapercard.com and the NoPaperCard services (the “Service”) provided by [Company Legal Name](“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

NoPaperCard lets you create, customize, publish, and share digital business cards, capture leads, view analytics, and optionally order NFC products and add cards to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly) through our payment processor, Stripe, at the price shown at checkout ($5, $10, or $19 per month depending on plan).
  • Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
  • You can cancel any time from your settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and your card may be unpublished afterward.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. [Confirm your refund policy and any free-trial terms here.]
  • NFC product orders are one-time purchases and subject to any stated fulfillment and shipping terms.

4. Your content and acceptable use

You retain ownership of the content you add to your cards. You grant us a limited license to host, display, and share that content as needed to operate the Service. You are solely responsible for your content, including any custom HTML you add, and you represent that you have the rights to use it.

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.
  • Post malicious code, run unauthorized scripts, or attempt to compromise the Service or its users.
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Send spam, harvest data, or collect leads without a lawful basis and proper notice.
  • Publish content that is harmful, deceptive, hateful, or sexually exploitative.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer the Service except as permitted by law.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as Stripe, Supabase, Netlify, Google, and Apple. Your use of those features may be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. [Confirm caps and carve-outs with counsel.]

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, though some provisions survive (such as IP, disclaimers, and limitation of liability).

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your governing jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in [your venue], unless otherwise required by law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
